Editorial Standards.
How we report, source, correct, and disclose. Last updated when this page changes.
── sourcing ──
Every factual claim has at least one publicly verifiable source linked inline. Where relevant, we cite the original press release, the vendor blog, the regulatory filing, or the primary research paper — not aggregator summaries.
── opinions ──
Editorial opinions appear in clearly demarcated sections — most often a final paragraph or a labelled “Editor’s Take” callout. Opinions are never blended into news reporting.
── ai-assistance ──
Articles may be drafted with AI assistance. Every draft is reviewed by a human editor before publication. Sources are independently verified by the editor. AI-assisted drafts that fail verification are not published.
── corrections ──
Errors are corrected by amending the original article. The article’s status is flipped to amended, an updated timestamp is added, and a ## Correction section explains what changed. Published articles are never silently rewritten.
── retractions ──
If an article is materially wrong and cannot be repaired by amendment, it is moved to archived status. The URL remains live with a retraction notice; we do not delete history.
── disclosure ──
OBLAIDISH NEWS is a sister publication of OBLAIDISH studio. Articles about OBLAIDISH studio projects are filed in the Studio Notes channel and labelled with a disclosure marker. We do not currently accept paid placements or sponsored articles.
── advertising ──
Ad slots are clearly labelled as sponsored. Advertising is sold via Google AdSense; ads do not influence editorial decisions.
